Trinidad Perfume

(Capsicum chinense)

The Trinidad Perfume is a chile that is related to the hottest peppers in the world but has little heat. Named the Trinidad Perfume because it gives off a delicious scent when used in cooking. If you have not tasted it you are missing out on a culinary delight!

Plants are very productive and can produce light yellow lantern shaped pods that can get over an inch in diameter. Some pods will even grow little scorpion tails! The flavor is sweet and although mainly used in cooking can be dried for a mild seasoning or made into a mild salsa.

At Refining Fire Chiles we isolate our seed production plants to avoid cross-pollination with other chile species. If you would like to try it yourself please contact us for seeds, plants (March-August) and fresh chiles (September).

We also grow the Bhut Jolokia, Naga Morich, Chocolate Habanero and many other Hot Chile Pepper plant varieties!
